Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 May 2026

Welcome to PayGo. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PayGo checkout platform (including the web-based checkout experience, tip flow, upsell offers, and feedback tools) when you visit a business that uses PayGo ("Customer", "you"). PayGo is operated in partnership with Arab United Business.

By scanning a PayGo QR code or accessing any part of the PayGo checkout flow, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.

01

The PayGo service

PayGo is a white-label checkout platform used by service businesses ("Merchants") across multiple verticals, including beauty salons, barber shops, spas and wellness centres, medical and aesthetic clinics, and fitness studios, to offer their Customers a fast, in-browser payment experience. PayGo is not a bank, payment institution, or financial services provider. Payments are processed by licensed third-party payment gateways on behalf of the Merchant.

The PayGo checkout flow may include some or all of the following, depending on how each Merchant has configured their account:

  • Viewing and paying an itemised bill
  • Adding a tip for one or more service providers
  • Viewing and optionally adding AI-suggested products or services to your bill
  • Submitting a satisfaction rating and optional written feedback
  • Receiving a digital receipt by email or SMS

No app download is required. The entire flow runs in your mobile browser.

02

Your account

Creating a PayGo account is not required to complete a payment. However, if you choose to create one, you must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are solely responsible for any activity that occurs under your account. You agree not to share your login credentials or impersonate another person.

You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time through our contact form. Deletion is subject to any legal retention obligations we are required to comply with.

03

Payments

When a Customer pays through PayGo, they are paying the Merchant directly for the goods and services the Merchant provides. The PayGo service fee (see below) is separate: it is consideration for the digital checkout service PayGo provides to the Customer, and is collected by the Merchant on PayGo's behalf. PayGo facilitates the transaction but does not receive, hold, or transfer your funds. Payments are processed by licensed third-party payment gateways. All disputes, refunds, and billing queries relating to the bill must be resolved directly with the Merchant.

By submitting a payment, you confirm that:

  • You are the authorised holder of the payment method used, or have the holder's permission to use it.
  • The payment details you provide are accurate and complete.
  • You have reviewed the bill and agree that the amounts shown are correct before confirming payment.

In the event of a payment failure, the Customer will need to settle the bill directly with the Merchant by an alternative means. PayGo is not responsible for failed transactions caused by your payment provider, network issues, or insufficient funds.

Service fee

A small service fee may be applied to transactions completed through PayGo. This fee is for the digital checkout service provided to the Customer, covering fast in-browser payment, itemised bill view, bill-splitting where available, tip handling, and a digital receipt. The fee is inclusive of VAT. Where applicable, it is shown clearly on your bill before you confirm payment. A VAT receipt for the service fee is available on request via our contact page. You can always choose to pay by another method directly with the Merchant to avoid the fee. Just ask a staff member.

04

Tips

PayGo may present you with the option to leave a tip at the end of your visit. Tipping is always voluntary. PayGo may suggest tip amounts based on your bill total or on per-service breakdowns, but the amount you choose, including zero, is entirely your decision.

Tips are distributed to service providers in accordance with the Merchant's own tip policy. PayGo routes tips as directed by the Merchant and is not responsible for how the Merchant distributes them internally.

05

AI upsell suggestions

PayGo may display product or service recommendations during your checkout flow. These suggestions are generated by an AI model that analyses your transaction history at that Merchant and across the PayGo network (where you have consented to cross-merchant personalisation).

Adding an upsell item to your bill is entirely optional. Any item added becomes part of your transaction with the Merchant and is subject to the same payment terms. Products recommended through PayGo are the Merchant's own inventory; PayGo makes no warranty as to their quality, suitability, or availability.

06

Feedback and reviews

When you submit a rating or written comment through PayGo, that feedback is shared with the Merchant. Feedback you submit must be honest, accurate, and based on your genuine experience. You must not submit feedback that is defamatory, harassing, discriminatory, or otherwise unlawful.

PayGo and the Merchant reserve the right to remove or decline to display feedback that violates these standards. You grant PayGo and the Merchant a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, display, and share your feedback in connection with their services.

07

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the PayGo platform to:

  • Submit false, fraudulent, or misleading payment information.
  • Attempt to circumvent, manipulate, or reverse-engineer any part of the checkout flow.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform or the servers or networks connected to it.
  • Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the platform.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws and regulations.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the PayGo service for any Customer who violates these Terms or who we reasonably believe is misusing the platform.

08

Intellectual property

All intellectual property rights in the PayGo platform, including its design, software, content, trademarks, and brand assets, are owned by PayGo and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform solely for the purpose of completing a transaction with a Merchant.

You may not reproduce, copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the PayGo platform without our prior written consent. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.

09

Third-party links and services

The PayGo checkout may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, a Merchant's own website or a loyalty programme partner). We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of those third parties. Clicking such a link is at your own risk.

10

Limitation of liability

PayGo provides the checkout platform as a technology intermediary. We are not responsible for:

  • The quality, safety, or suitability of any product or service provided by a Merchant.
  • Errors or omissions in a Merchant's bill that you confirm and pay.
  • Any loss arising from a failed or declined payment transaction.
  • Interruptions to the service caused by network issues, device compatibility, or circumstances beyond our control.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, PayGo's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount of the service fees (if any) paid by you in the transaction giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

11

Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the PayGo platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the UAE.

Before commencing formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us through our contact form so that we can try to resolve any issue informally. We will respond within one business day and make a genuine effort to find a fair resolution.

12

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the PayGo service, applicable law, or our business practices. The effective date at the top of this page will always indicate when the Terms were last revised. Where changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify Customers. Your continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

If you have any questions about these Terms, please reach out via our contact page. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.
